SAC: IN THE CRIMINAL MIND is a seven-part documentary series that takes viewers into a fascinating and disturbing world: the criminal mind and psychological and behavioural profiling.
The National Police Behavioural Analysis Unit (SAC in Spanish) includes expert psychologists who bring their expertise in forensic behavioural analysis and criminology to act as guides on this journey, breaking down the complexity behind each crime. From serial crimes to others that seem inexplicable, the series offers a deep dive into the minds of criminals, revealing the hidden threads that drive their actions.
Three emblematic cases, each representing a unique criminal profile, challenge conventional perceptions of crime and underlying motive. Each crime is explored in two episodes for a deeper understanding, with its own intriguing story and unique psychological implications. From the discovery of the crime scene to the identification of behavioural patterns, using innovative techniques of interrogation and analysis of spoken, body and written language with the latest technology in criminal investigation.
Through expert testimony and meticulous re-enactments, the complex psyches of the criminals are explored, unravelling their deepest motivations, exploring their impulses and revealing the psychopathic traits and motives behind their violent actions.
